I am Maria Pasotti, Gastronome of Slow Food University and founder of Good Food Good Mood (www.goodfoodgoodmood.it). I have always been passionate about Real Food and in love with Italian Enogastronomic Culture. I organise Cooking Experiences, Tastings and Dinners in the area of Franciacorta, Lake Iseo and Lake Garda.
This Food Tour takes place on Montisola, the largest island of Lake Iseo.
- The meeting point is at the ferry departure point in Sale Marasino. We will take the ferry for a 10-minute ride and admire the spectacular view of Montisola, the picturesque villages bordering the lake and the beautiful mountains that surround it.
- Visit to the island's only oil mill with a view of the lake. Walk through a private olive grove with the producer.
- Sensory tasting of the excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Lake Iseo, which boasts the DOP mark for its quality and uniqueness.
- Exceptional Sardine Workshop at Montisola with the last remaining producer on the island to continue the ancient technique of drying sardines, a typical fish of Lake Iseo that boasts the Slow Food Presidium label.
- Lunch on a splendid lakeside terrace with a 4-course fish menu.
